– For the dough:

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup warm milk (105-115°F)

– For the filling:

– 1 cup (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup sour cream

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries

– For the topping:

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. For the dough: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the warm milk. Beat until a soft dough forms.
  2. For the filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in the sour cream and vanilla extract. Fold in the chopped strawberries.
  3. To assemble the cinnamon rolls: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough.
