Salted Almond Chocolate Bars are a delightful treat that combines the crunchiness of almonds, the sweetness of chocolate, and a hint of sea salt for an irresistible taste. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Salted Almond Chocolate Bars

Ingredients:

2 cups dark or milk chocolate chips (or a combination of both)

1 cup whole almonds, toasted

1/2 tsp sea salt (or to taste)

1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

-Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, allowing for some overhang on two opposite sides (this will help you lift the finished bar out later).

-Toast the Almonds: Place the almonds on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 8-10 minutes, or until they’re slightly darkened and fragrant. Be sure to keep an eye on them to avoid burning. Once toasted, allow them to cool.

-Melt the Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips. This can be done in a microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler method: place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water) and stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth. If you’re using the vanilla extract, stir it in once the chocolate is melted.

-Add Almonds and Salt: Stir in the toasted almonds, making sure they are evenly coated with the melted chocolate. Pour this mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading and pressing down with a spatula to ensure an even layer. Sprinkle the sea salt over the top.

-Chill: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and allow the chocolate to set for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.

-Serve: Once the chocolate has set, use the parchment paper overhangs to lift the entire block out of the pan. Place on a cutting board and, with a sharp knife, cut into desired bar or square sizes.

Enjoy your homemade Salted Almond Chocolate Bars!

Note: Feel free to modify this basic recipe. You can add other ingredients like dried fruits, different types of nuts, or even swirl in some caramel or peanut butter for added flavor. Adjust the salt as per your taste preference. Some people prefer a strong salty contrast with their sweet treats, while others might like just a hint. Adjust to suit your tastes.
