Do you love Ravioli? Do you also love Pizza? If the answer is yes, then this Ravioli Pizza Bake is the perfect meal for you. It not only tastes great but is super easy to make!
Ingredients
1 Kg/2.2lb Ricotta Pasta Royale Frozen Ravioli
400g/14.1oz Italian Sausage, casing removed and crumbled
1 Medium Onion, finely chopped
2 Cloves Garlic, crushed
2 (400g/380ml) Jars Barilla Napoletana Sauce
2 Tsps Italian Herb seasoning
800g/28oz Ricotta
150g/5.3 Shredded Mozzarella
2 Eggs
Salt and Pepper
Topping:
300g/10.6oz Shredded Mozzarella
Pepperoni, sliced
Black Olives
Method:
Fry the onions then add the crumbled sausage and cook through. Add the garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and saute for just 1 minute until fragrant. Add the barilla sauce and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Set aside.
In a large bowl, first mix the ricotta with the mozzarella then add the eggs and mix well until well combined. Set aside.
Assemble:
Spray the bottom of a Casserole dish.
Spread a little of the sauce to cover the base of the dish.
Place frozen ravioli on the bottom of the dish in a single layer.
Spread the ricotta mixture over the ravioli.
Cover with half of the barilla sauce.Top with a layer of ravioli. Cover with remaining sauce.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, top with sliced pepperoni, olives, italian herbs and freshly ground pepper.
Cover with foil and bake in oven 200C/400F for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes more or until cheese is melted and lightly browned on top.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

NOTE: Italian Sausage can be replaced with Ground Beef.
