PIZZA PASTA BAKE

This pizza pasta bake is super quick and easy to make; the perfect no-fuss meal for all the family to enjoy!

 

Ingredients :

500g/18oz Fusilli Pasta

500g/18oz Italian Sausage, casing removed and crumbled

2 400g/380ml Jars Barilla Napoletana Sauce

1 Onion, diced

1 Green Pepper, diced

4 Tomatoes, diced

400g/12.5oz Shredded Mozzarella, divided

300g/10.5oz Sliced Mushrooms

 

Topping:

Sliced Pepperoni

Sliced Black Olives

Parmesan Cheese

Dried Oregano herbs

 

Method:

Cook pasta but not completely, drain and transfer to a large bowl.

Brown Italian sausage in a skillet. Drain grease and to the bowl of pasta. Add the raw chopped green peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, barilla sauce and 200g/7oz of the mozzarella cheese. Toss until fully combined.

Spoon pasta into a butter greased baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese, parmesan, pepperoni, sliced black olives and oregano.

Cover with baking foil and bake in oven 190C/375F for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for an additional 30 minutes or until cheese is fully melted and slightly browned on top.
