Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine works well)
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
1 large green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 cup marinara or tomato sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak: Season the steak slices with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic, cooking until softened, about 4-5 minutes. Make the Sauce: Add the beef broth, marinara sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine Everything: Return the cooked steak to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together, making sure the pasta and steak are well-coated in the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
Serve: Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your Pepper Steak Pasta Delight!
