A simple and delicious sweet treat for all the Family to enjoy!

Ingredients

2 Rectangular Sheets of Puff Pastry

Nutella Spread

1 Egg beaten for egg wash

M&M’s (for decoration)

Icing Sugar (for dusting)

Method

Preheat oven to 200C/400F.

Leave the first sheet of pastry on its baking paper and spread the nutella on top. Cover with the second sheet of pastry.

Cut out the shape of the tree and place it in the freezer for 15 minutes before cutting the branches (this way it will be much easier to cut the branches and twist them without dirtying everything).

Cut 13 branches. Twist and turn 2 times towards the top of the tree, then as you lay it down press the edge of the branch down onto the paper.

Brush the pastry with beaten egg and bake in oven for about 25 minutes, until golden. Once baked, leave to cool.

Dust with icing sugar, if using and decorate with smarties (put a little of nutella onto the smartie so that it will stick on to the tree). Be sure to stick a lot of M&M’s as they make it taste so more delicious! Enjoy! ????

NOTE:

When you cut out the triangle from top to bottom don’t go all the way down to the corner making it a point like the top, leave 1 inch before you reach the corner edge.
