Ingredients:
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup chopped onion
– 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
– 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
– 1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 12 taco shells
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup chopped pepperoni
– 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon
– 1/4 cup chopped cooked Italian sausage
Instructions:
- Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the vegetables: Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings: Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Simmer the sauce: Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until it has thickened.
- Assemble the tacos: Fill each taco shell with a scoop of the meat sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped pepperoni, chopped cooked bacon, and chopped cooked Italian sausage.
- Bake or fry the tacos: Bake the tacos in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Alternatively, you can fry the tacos in a hot skillet until the shells are golden brown and crispy.
