Ingredients:

For the Fried Chicken:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Honey Butter Glaze:

  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

1️⃣ Marinate the chicken drumsticks in buttermilk for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

2️⃣ In a large bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.

3️⃣ Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, shaking off any excess, and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated.

4️⃣ Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken in batches for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5️⃣ In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the honey, garlic powder, hot sauce (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.

6️⃣ Drizzle the honey butter glaze over the fried chicken or toss the chicken in the sauce until coated.
