Ingredients:

12 large king prawns (or giant shrimp), cleaned (keep the heads and shells for more flavor)

100g butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 small bunch fresh parsley, chopped

Juice of half a lemon

Salt and pepper, to taste

A drizzle of olive oil

Lemon slices (for serving)

Instructions:

Preparing the prawns:

If your prawns are not yet cleaned, carefully remove the dorsal vein (the black thread) while keeping the heads and shells. These parts will give an extra flavor during cooking!

Preparing the garlic and parsley butter:

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the chopped garlic, parsley, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and a little pepper. This mixture will become the key to the intense flavor of your prawns.

Prepare your grill:

If you are using a barbecue, make sure it is very hot (medium-high heat). You can also use a grill pan on medium-high heat. Brush a little olive oil on the grates or pan to prevent the prawns from sticking.

Grilling the prawns:

Brush each prawn generously with your garlic and parsley butter mixture.

Then place them on the hot grill and cook them for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. They should be nicely browned, slightly crispy on the edges, but still juicy inside.

Plating and serving:

Once the prawns are nicely grilled, transfer them to a serving dish. Drizzle a little of the remaining melted garlic butter over the prawns for more flavor. Serve with lemon wedges for a little acidity.

And there you have it, your grilled prawns with garlic and parsley butter are ready! Simple, quick and so tasty. You can serve them with rice, salad or even grilled vegetables for a perfect summer meal. Enjoy your meal!

Feel free to adjust the quantities of garlic and parsley according to your tastes, and above all, have fun preparing this delicious dish!
