Ingredients:
500g sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
500g baby potatoes
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Potatoes:
Boil the baby potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender (about 10-12 minutes). Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly. Use a fork to slightly smash each potato.
Crisp the Potatoes:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the smashed potatoes and cook until crispy and golden brown on both sides, about 5-6 minutes. Set them aside.
Cook the Steak Bites:
In the same pan, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned on all sides.
Make the Garlic Butter:
Lower the heat and add the butter to the pan with the steak bites. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the chopped rosemary and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
Serve:
Plate the crispy smashed potatoes and top with the garlic butter steak bites. Serve hot and enjoy!
