Spicy Cajun Steak with Creamy Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients:
1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Add the steak to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the diced onion for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the Alfredo sauce.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and mix it with the pasta.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot, adding extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
