Classic Cherry Delight is a beloved dessert, known for its creamy texture, graham cracker crust, and cherry topping. There are numerous variations, but here’s a basic recipe to make Classic Cherry Delight:

 

Ingredients:

 

1.Crust:

-1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

-1/4 cup sugar

-1/2 cup butter, melted

2.Filling:

-1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

-1 cup powdered sugar

-1 teaspoon vanilla extract

-1 tub (8 oz.) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

3.Topping:

-1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling

 

Directions:

 

1.For the Crust:

-Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

-In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well mixed.

-Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

-Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

2.For the Filling:

-In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

-Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined.

-Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled crust.

3.For the Topping:

-Evenly spread the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.

4.Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

5.Slice into squares and serve. Enjoy!
