1 teaspoon paprika or chili powder (optional, for some spice)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cornstarch or all-purpose flour (for coating)
Oil (for deep frying)
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken Wings: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, fish sauce (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, paprika/chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken wings and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to a few hours for more flavor).
Coat the Wings: Once marinated, coat each wing in cornstarch or flour. Shake off any excess for a light, even coating.
Heat the Oil: In a deep pan, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Wings: Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil. Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Make sure to flip them occasionally for even cooking.
Drain and Serve: Remove the wings from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy!
