This Cheesy Seafood Bread is loaded with Prawns & Crabmeat, smothered in a creamy cheesy garlic sauce, and baked to perfection on crispy French bread. Perfect for an appetizer or a meal!
Ingredients
For the Bread:
1 loaf French bread, sliced in half
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley, chopped
For the Seafood Topping: 250g Prawns, peeled & deveined 250g Crabmeat
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red chilli flakes (optional, for spice)
For the Cheesy Sauce:
120g cream cheese, softened
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
Toast the Bread:
Preheat oven to 190°C or 375°F.
Brush melted butter over the bread halves and sprinkle with garlic powder & parsley.
Bake for 5–7 minutes until slightly crispy.
Cook the Seafood:
In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in Prawns & Crabmeat. Cook until Prawn turns orange , about 3 minutes.
Season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Make the Cheesy Sauce:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.
Add the cooked seafood mixture and combine.
Assemble & Bake:
Spread the cheesy seafood mixture evenly over the toasted bread.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Garnish with extra parsley & Parmesan.
Serve & Enjoy!
Slice into pieces and serve hot! Pairs well with a side of garlic butter or marinara sauce.
