Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
4 slices bread (white or whole wheat)
4 slices cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish
French fries on the side
Instructions:
Cook the Burger Patties:
Form the ground beef into 2 burger patties. Season each patty with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked and browned on the outside. During the last minute of cooking, place the cheese slices on top of each patty to melt.
Prepare the Grilled Cheese:
Butter one side of each slice of bread. In a separate skillet, toast the bread until golden brown and crispy on one side.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Place one cheese-covered burger patty on top of a slice of grilled bread. Add the second slice of toasted bread on top, with the buttered side facing outward. Repeat with the second burger patty if making two sandwiches.
Grill the Sandwich:
Grill the sandwich on both sides in the skillet for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted, and the bread is crispy and golden.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with a side of crispy French fries.
