Cabbage Rolls with Bacon

Ingredients:

– 1 head of cabbage

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1/2 cup cooked rice

– 1 onion, chopped

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 can tomato sauce

– 1 tsp paprika

– 1/2 tsp dried oregano

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 6 slices of bacon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch cabbage leaves until softened. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned. Add cooked rice, tomato sauce, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll up.
  5. Place bacon slices on top of cabbage rolls.
  6. Place cabbage rolls seam side down in a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
