Breakfast Sandwich with Fried Egg, Ham, and Cheese

Start your day with a flavorful breakfast sandwich packed with protein and creamy cheese. Perfect for a lazy morning or a weekend brunch!

 

Ingredients:

2 slices of thick-cut bread

1 egg

2 slices of ham

1-2 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, Swiss, etc.)

A handful of fresh arugula or spinach

Butter for toasting

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme) for garnish

Instructions:

Toast the bread: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Place the slices of bread in the pan and toast each side until golden and crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the egg: In the same skillet, crack an egg and cook it to your liking. For a runny yolk, cook it sunny side up for about 3 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Assemble the sandwich: On one slice of toasted bread, layer the cheese slices, followed by the ham. Add a generous handful of fresh arugula or spinach. Place the cooked fried egg on top.

Top it off: Place the second slice of toasted bread on top, pressing gently to seal the sandwich.

Serve and enjoy: Slice the sandwich in half and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve warm, and enjoy the creamy, cheesy, and crispy goodness!
