BANANA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Certainly! Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Banana Cake with Chocolate Chips:

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas, mashed

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup vegetable oil or coconut oil

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream or yogurt

1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish or a similar sized pan.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Bananas: Mix in the mashed bananas until well combined.

Alternate Dry Ingredients and Sour Cream: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients in three parts, alternating with the sour cream or yogurt. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix just until combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips: Using a spatula, gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack.

Serve: Once cooled, you can serve the cake as is, dust with powdered sugar, or even drizzle with a chocolate glaze or frosting of your choice.

Enjoy your Banana Cake with Chocolate Chips! Adjust the sugar if your bananas are extra sweet or if you prefer a less sweet cake.
