Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your preference)
  • Butter or margarine for toasting
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon:
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the bacon slices to the skillet and cook until crispy, about 4-6 minutes per side.
  • Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  1. Cook the Eggs:
  • In the same skillet, drain some of the bacon grease, leaving a small amount for flavor.
  • Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preference (sunny side up, over easy, etc.).
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • If you like your cheese melted, place the slices of cheese on top of the eggs in the last minute of cooking.
  1. Toast the Bread:
  • While the eggs are cooking, butter the bread slices on one side.
  • Toast the bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
  1. Assemble the Sandwich:
  • Place two slices of toast on a plate, buttered side up.
  • Layer the eggs and cheese on top of the toast.
  • Place the crispy bacon slices over the eggs and cheese.
  • Top with the remaining slices of toast, buttered side down.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the sandwiches hot with your favorite beverage, like coffee or a glass of milk.

Enjoy your classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich!
