- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of cheese (American, cheddar, or your preference)
- Butter or margarine for toasting
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Bacon:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the bacon slices to the skillet and cook until crispy, about 4-6 minutes per side.
- Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
- Cook the Eggs:
- In the same skillet, drain some of the bacon grease, leaving a small amount for flavor.
- Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preference (sunny side up, over easy, etc.).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- If you like your cheese melted, place the slices of cheese on top of the eggs in the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the Bread:
- While the eggs are cooking, butter the bread slices on one side.
- Toast the bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the Sandwich:
- Place two slices of toast on a plate, buttered side up.
- Layer the eggs and cheese on top of the toast.
- Place the crispy bacon slices over the eggs and cheese.
- Top with the remaining slices of toast, buttered side down.
- Serve:
- Serve the sandwiches hot with your favorite beverage, like coffee or a glass of milk.
Enjoy your classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich!
